The Presidency of the Republic is to launch early next September at the Friendship Hall the "Through-Mobile Payment Project", in the presence of ministers of economic sector and all relevant parties. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has announced completion of all the technical arrangements for the launch of the project in coordination with the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS), Sudatel and MTN companies. The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tahani Abdullah Attiya stressed, when she chaired Monday the minister council's meeting, that the success of the project would be based on the interaction of the companies and citizens strongly with the project, giving directions to the concerned parties of the ministry to work in order to make the launch of the service coincides with the launch of range of electronic services. The Director of the National Center for Information Eng. Mohamed Abdul-Rahim Yasin revealed, during a briefing he put forward to the Council of the Minister, joint arrangements among the center, CBOS and the companies to lead a media campaign on the promotion of the Through-Mobile Payment Project to the citizens by holding a number of symposiums and press conferences.
The Director-General of the National Information Centre also reviewed, a report on the achievements in the framework of the e-learning project, where the meeting underscored the importance of taking advantage of new technologies to address the problems of education in the country in coordination with the concerned ministries in the center and the states. The meeting also stressed the ministry's commitment to provide the necessary funding for its obligations in the framework of this project to serve the relevant entities and to establish an integrated studio and special electronic gate on education.
